SPARK helped Showcase Cinemas launch time-limited offers with a flexible microsite, personalised by location and seamlessly integrated with their main website

THE CLIENT

Showcase and Showcase Cinema de Lux are owned and operated by Harbor Lights Entertainment (UK) Limited and operate 16 cinema sites across the UK. As a leading cinema operator, Showcase is focused on delivering high-quality, modern cinema experiences while continually finding new ways to engage audiences and drive footfall across its locations.

THE CHALLENGE

Showcase wanted the flexibility to launch targeted “special offers” for their customers at specific times of the year, such as seasonal promotions or limited-time campaigns. Because these offers were not always live, they needed a digital solution that could be activated and deactivated quickly without disrupting the main Showcase website.

The solution also needed to integrate seamlessly with the existing site, maintain brand consistency, and give customers a simple, intuitive journey from discovery through to purchase. Crucially, offers had to be relevant to each customer’s local cinema, ensuring promotions were accurate, timely, and location-specific.

 

WHAT WE DID

SPARK designed and built a dedicated promotional web portal that seamlessly links from the main Showcase website, allowing offers to be launched, updated, and taken down at speed. The portal was designed to feel like a natural extension of the core Showcase experience while providing the flexibility required for short-term campaigns.

We implemented functionality that allows customers to select their local cinema and instantly view offers available at that location, ensuring content is personalised and relevant. SPARK also set up secure payment systems and a smooth end-to-end fulfilment journey, making it easy for customers to redeem offers with minimal friction.

By combining smart technical architecture with user-focused design, we enabled Showcase to capitalise on time-sensitive promotional opportunities without placing additional strain on internal teams. In addition, SPARK provides ongoing customer services support, adding further value and ensuring a consistently positive experience for Showcase customers before, during, and after each campaign.
