Bauer Media’s Empire is the world’s most widely read and respected film magazine, reaching a global community of passionate movie fans across its connected portfolio of print, digital, podcasts, website and live experiences – giving audiences access to the latest film news, reviews, interviews, features and experiences from the world of cinema and TV.

The Empire VIP Club is its premium subscription offering, giving members additional perks to enjoy which include invitations to exclusive screening events with live Q&As with Hollywood stars and directors, full access to the Empire+ podcast, and two cinema tickets to watch a film of their choice at two cinema chains.

With the ambition to strengthen the ‘cinema perk’ proposition for 2026 onwards, Empire wanted to give members a greater choice of where they can use their cinema tickets and introduce a new perk that would encourage members to visit the cinema more often.

With our long-standing relationships across the UK cinema industry and extensive experience delivering cinema-based rewards, we developed a new two-year partnership through The Cinema Society, providing Empire VIP Club members with two cinema tickets that can be used across a new network of 300+ cinema venues across the UK.

But we didn’t stop there.

Every member now has more reasons to head to the big screen, with access to discounted cinema tickets throughout their membership, making it easier and more affordable to enjoy more trips to the cinema.

We manages the infrastructure behind both offers, including the branded ticket redemption mechanism and website, hosting, unique code generation, as well as monthly reporting visibility of how members are engaging with the perks.

This partnership provides meaningful, relevant perks that complement the Empire brand, giving new and returning Empire VIP Club members even more value from their membership.

It provides nationwide cinema coverage and, importantly, gives members greater choice over where they use their free tickets.

By combining a high-value joining or renewal perk, with access to ongoing cinema discounts, Empire can offer its community of movie lovers cinema perks that goes beyond the magazine and more opportunities to enjoy the films they love where they were made to be seen, on the big screen.
